Who We Are

We are a new church consisting of people who recognize that none of us have it together. Every single one of us experience disappointments, frustrations, mistakes, sins, and more. This is why we believe we need a Savior, and equally as important, a community around us that can support and encourage through every season of life. If you don’t belong to a church community like this, we’d love to have you join us.

She is a graduate of Presbyterian College with a BA in English. Ana and her husband, Will, have three children: Nora, Sam, and Luka.

Christ Church Kids

We love our kids at Christ Church and strive to help them all know and love Jesus through every stage of their childhood. We do this by encouraging children to participate, as far as they are able, in our worship services on Sundays. We don’t mind the noise or the wiggles, in fact, we embrace it! We do however have nursery through age 4 on Sunday for any parents who would like to use it, even for a moment. Following our service, we have Kid’s Club, where kids 5-5th grade spend time going through the Children’s Catechism produced by our denomination.

Gatherings for 6th-12th graders coming soon!

Our Worship

We strive to glorify God through a personal and communal delight in the Gospel of Jesus each Sunday. We do this by being committed to the “ordinary means of grace,” which are the Word, the Sacraments, and Prayer. What this means is that we rely upon the Bible, and the power of the Holy Spirit, to lift our hearts and minds to the wonders of God’s goodness and grace every time we come together. Our service is a gathering place for any and all that want to know what that goodness and grace really looks like in their lives.

What to Expect

Our service includes the worship of God through music, Scripture readings, preaching, and celebrating the Lord’s Supper weekly. There is no dress code for our services so dress in whatever way you feel is appropriate. Of course, if you have any questions about anything you hear or observe during our service, we would be more than happy to talk.

Our Beliefs

We are joyfully committed to God’s Word and the historic Christian faith. Christ Church is a “Presbyterian” church, which means that we are joined to a wider network of churches called a “presbytery” in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia for connection, fellowship, and accountability. It also means that we adhere to the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms as a faithful summary of what the Bible teaches, as well as, the classic creeds of the church, including the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed. We belong to a denomination called the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us!

Although we confidently hold to these doctrinal standards, the members of our congregation come from a wide variety of church backgrounds. Whether you come from a different church tradition or from no tradition at all, we welcome you to become a part of this church!
